As a Logistics Engineer NPI you are responsible for the entire logistics process when introducing new products. You represent logistics within the versatile QLTC NPI teams and work closely with the project leader and other QLTC project members. Together you draw up the integral NPI plan and ensure effective project implementation, whereby the logistics project goals are achieved on time, with the right quality, and within the established project costs and resources.

  Purpose of the position

To be successful in this role, several years of experience in the field of chain design, improvement and/or planning is essential. You have the ability to oversee the entire supply chain, from customer business to delivery, assembly, production, storage and suppliers. With this broad knowledge, you develop a chain design that meets the customer's requirements, with the shortest possible integral lead time, so that stocks and required capital are kept to a minimum and the flexibility of the chain is maximized. You are also responsible for the correct logistics contracting in the interaction with customers and suppliers.

An added value for this position is experience within a technical production environment, because understanding the technical aspects contributes to creating the best integrated project plan. Collaboration and the joint pursuit of the best result are inherent to your working method. Your ability to empathize with the responsibilities and goals of all team members contributes to creating the most effective integrated project plan.

Tasks and responsibilities

You negotiate with the customer about the critical path and the required information for the design documentation;
You monitor and manage the realization plan together with the internal departments and report on this both internally and to the customer;
You coordinate the material flow of critical parts;
You take care of the review of engineering changes in terms of feasibility, delivery time and costs;
You implement technical changes in ongoing production and the supply chain.

Job requirements

You have a relevant completed education (bachelor's and/or master's) in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar
You have demonstrable experience in setting up logistics processes in NPI
You have demonstrable experience in a production environment
You have several years of experience with planning/logistics in a production environment;
You have good organizational and communication skills;
You are able to take the lead in a complex process with different players;
You are independent, hands-on, assertive and results-oriented;
You have a good command of the Dutch and English language.
