Mechanical Engineer – Heavy Machinery

Location: North Holland region
Salary: €4000,- up to €5500,- based on experience
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week

About the role:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing machines and installations for the seed processing industry. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that designs seamlessly integrate with the production processes of customers worldwide. The role requires both technical creativity and a structured approach.

What will you do?

• Convert conceptual designs into concrete machines and installations.
• Create detailed production drawings for machine construction.
• Oversee projects and coordinate technical details with customers.
• Guide and support fellow engineers within your project.
• Implement modifications and improvements to existing designs.
• Prepare technical documentation and risk analyses.
• Archive and keep technical files up to date.

What do you bring?

• A completed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Proven work experience in a similar role within machine and equipment construction.
• Experience with 3D design software (e.g., HICAD).
• Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Ridder iQ).
• Technical knowledge of drive technology, pneumatics, electrical engineering, and hydraulics.
• Structured and accurate working style, both independently and in a team.
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
