About the role: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the full technical development of racing simulators. You'll be part of a compact, ambitious engineering team and oversee the entire development process, from the first sketch to production. Your work ensures the simulators perform exceptionally, are scalable, and stand out visually. What will you do? Design, develop, and test new racing simulators. Improve and optimize existing models. Conduct technical calculations, FEM analyses, and simulations. Create technical drawings and production documentation. Select smart and efficient production techniques. Collaborate closely with production, software, and design teams. What do you bring? Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar mechanical product development role. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Design Engineering. Proficiency in SolidWorks. Experience with FEM/structural analysis and hands-on validation. Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques (CNC, sheet metal, bending/welding, etc.). Self-driven, analytical, and proactive. Strong communication skills in Dutch and English; German is a plus. Mechanical Engineer – Heavy Machinery Location: North Holland region Salary: €4000,- up to €5500,- based on experience Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week Why this position is interesting: Dynamic work environment: Work on innovative machines and installations for the seed processing and production industry. About the role: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing machines and installations for the seed processing industry. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that designs seamlessly integrate with the production processes of customers worldwide. The role requires both technical creativity and a structured approach. What will you do? Convert conceptual designs into concrete machines and installations. Create detailed production drawings for machine construction. Oversee projects and coordinate technical details with customers. Guide and support fellow engineers within your project. Implement modifications and improvements to existing designs. Prepare technical documentation and risk analyses. Archive and keep technical files up to date. What do you bring? A completed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification. Proven work experience in a similar role within machine and equipment construction. Experience with 3D design software (e.g., HICAD). Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Ridder iQ). Technical knowledge of drive technology, pneumatics, electrical engineering, and hydraulics. Structured and accurate working style, both independently and in a team. Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Not meeting all the requirements but confident in your abilities?
